You will find explanations of maintenance procedures that are carried out by qualified repair technicians. Considerable damage can be done to an instrument if repairs are done incorrectly. I don't recommend that you try out these procedures on your instrument without some expert guidance unless you have considerable mechanical and technical experience and you feel confident you can do it.
